Meggitt Thermal Systems has a comprehensive engineering department which specializes in designing environmental control, ducting and components and ice protection systems. We also work with engineers from other Meggitt group businesses when integrating groups of products or systems to ensure that all Meggitt customers are provided with the highest quality products at the best price.
Environmental control systems (ECS)
Our environmental control systems capability includes systems design, test, qualification, manufacturing and kitting. Our systems integration service, which works in-house and at customer facilities, uses sister Meggitt group company products and engineering to ensure best solutions. We provide native modeling of thermal management solutions to the customer’s desired format, to enable precise location and sizing of the system relative to the aircraft. We provide the latest data on time so engineers can expedite design and maximize communication.
Ducting systems and components
From design through testing and qualification of pneumatic ducting components and systems for aircraft and space vehicles, Meggitt Thermal Systems takes responsibility for complete in-house design, partial-design to a source-controlled drawing, or builds to print.
Ice protection (IP) systems
Whether electro–thermal or bleed air ice protection, our products are designed, analyzed, manufactured and qualified in-house. We provide icing wind tunnel testing and in-flight test support. Many of our IP systems are manufactured with low-cost, low-weight composites.
